Hi, I’m Lasse.
I’ve led keynotes and workshops at 40+ colleges and universities and helped more than 5,000 students think more strategically about how they approach college, opportunities, and career readiness.
My work sits at the intersection of student success, career readiness, and strategic decision-making. I partner with universities and high schools to help students understand how strategic decision-making, purposeful engagement, and strong storytelling help turn their college investment into meaningful outcomes.
College isn’t about access — it’s about strategy
Most students arrive on campus excited. But that excitement is rarely matched with a clear strategy for turning four years into meaningful outcomes.
College gives students access to incredible opportunities — alumni networks, employer events, student organizations, professors, campus resources, and so much more. But access alone doesn't produce results. Strategy does.
Students can do everything right — earn strong grades, stay involved, make great friends — and still graduate with no direction and nothing that sets them apart. That happens all the time. Not because they didn't work hard. Because nobody taught them how to think strategically about which opportunities are actually worth pursuing, how experiences compound over time, and how to communicate their story clearly and confidently.
That gap is expensive. For students. And for institutions.
As a first-generation college student, I faced the same challenge. I wanted to make the most of college but had no framework for which decisions would actually shape my future. What I needed wasn't more information — it was a strategy.
That's the gap I built College by Design™ to address — a keynote and workshop program that gives incoming students a decision-making framework they can apply from day one, regardless of their major, their direction, or how many times that direction changes.
The program doesn't assume students have a plan. It gives them one.
What is College by Design™?
College by Design™ is a keynote and workshop program that gives students a strategic framework for making decisions that actually compound toward the outcomes they want after graduation.
The framework walks students through four things: aligning their decisions with long-term outcomes, identifying and pursuing high-ROI opportunities, maximizing the value of the experiences they engage with, and communicating their story clearly and confidently.
It's delivered as a standalone keynote, a workshop series, or a full student success program — partnering with universities to serve incoming and first-year students, and with high schools to prepare graduating seniors before they ever set foot on campus.
